Mesh

Conveniently located in one of Melbourne's prime hubs of culture and entertainment, this sophisticated bistro is much like its Crown Promenade Hotel setting - relaxed, modern and cosmopolitan. Light interiors, polished wooden floors and copper mesh designs welcome diners to Mesh for a variety of all-day dining experiences, with big breakfasts, Sunday jazz buffet lunches and an almighty Friday night grill-fest. For the hungriest of diners, the seafood and grill buffets are great value, while less-is-more eaters are sure to find some top picks on the a la carte menu. Cool down afterwards at the Promenade's gorgeously-chic drinking spot, the Tonic Bar. Despite the name, this doozy has more than just gin and tonic on offer, with cocktails and canapes served till late.

Fresh Seafood and nice service
Went there for its buffet dinner. This restaurant is basically a mix of buffet and ala carte. Buffet for appetizer and dessert, ala carte for main.

For those who is seafood addict, this restaurant offers fresh and tasty shrimps and oyster. (But unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of seafood). The best thing for me here is the main dishes. There are choices of Lamb, Chicken, Fish, Porterhouse, and one other type of meat (which I forgot). And they are served with either mushroom or red wine or black pepper sauce. I went for the Fish and Mushroom sauce which is quite good. But I think the porterhouse which my friend order taste better!
There are also variety of dessert available, such as : tiramisu(my favourite!) , flavours of ice-cream, cakes, cheese, as well as puddings
aside from foods, we are also offered 3 complementary drinks.

So overall, for the price this restaurant offer, I'd say it's worth the money.

Friday Night Buffet
Ive been going here for about 3 years now, I probably go about once every 6 weeks on a friday.

prices have changed for the years, but now its $39.50 for all buffet style seafood/deserts.

Food is not perfect, but the simple value for money is TOPS, it can get a bit loud, but hey for the price that includes drinks you can't go wrong.

maybe not the best place for a first date, but if you know what you want, or if you have a large appetite, this place is GREAT!

Great buffet
Went there twice for buffet dinner. First time on a Saturday night when they have the jazz band. We sat a bit too close to the band and it was too noisy to talk. The second time was for a different buffet dinner on Friday night. This one is cheaper and has bit less variety but yummy nonetheless. Good choice of appetisers but unfortunately the steak is not cooked well. Medium/well-done is bloody! Gelati and dessert on both nights are YUM!
