In the stylish surrounds of the Quay West hotel and overlooking the gorgeous Brisbane Botanical Gardens from its floor-to-ceiling windows, McMahons is an impressive sight to behold. The vibe is refined and elegant but casual enough to be accessible, as is the contemporary menu. The modern Australian dishes on offer have a distinct European bent, as in the Tuscan vegetable aquacotta, with sweet pimentos, white cannellini beans and roasted heirloom tomato with basil pesto and organic egg royal. For dessert, the green apple and walnut strudel is a hearty winter warmer, while in summer months, expect cool, modern cuisine showing off Queensland's best.
