Hot on the heels of the first successful expansion of the Mash Brewing Company, the latest offshoot in Rockingham follows the formula of fine food and fresh brews. But this Mash restaurant also has a personality unto itself: its Restaurant and Entertainment Street location puts it at the very centre of Rockingham's burgeoning food and drink scene. Here patrons can immerse themselves in the laidback atmosphere and tuck into modern Australian fare that's not your everyday cuisine.
The seafood platter for two is effectively a roll call of aquatic delights, including chilli salt squid, grilled butterfly marron, lemon and oregano school prawn skewers, grilled sweet-lipped snapper, oysters Kilpatrick, red curry mussels, and scallops with citrus butter along with beer-battered chips, Brewery salad tartar and fresh lemon. Of course, a Mash pale ale or dark lager as well wouldn't go astray.
