This former cafe has changed somewhat since being taken over by Larry Piscioneri in 2005. The eatery is still a purveyor of fine Italian cuisine - now specifically southern Italian - but the space has undergone a positive transformation. A rather sleek interior now greets guests who stroll through the wood-framed glass doors.
Diners can choose to be seated in the main dining room or, for something a little more Italian family-style, at the large bench table inside the kitchen. There is also a courtyard (covered during the winter months) for those drawn to alfresco dining.
The menu is more traditional than innovative, but the meals are finely constructed and well executed. The wine list offers a well-versed international selection, including the obligatory imported Italian vinos. There are also some cellared selections that range well into the triple figures.

Well done
Thanks Martini's for a great night. Couldn't have asked for more. Food was outstanding, service staff were a pleasure, couldn't have stayed all night! Great function room you've created at the rear there. Looking forward to hosting my next function there. Be back soon - take away pizza's are on the cards for my lazy nights at home!
