This waterfront addition to Sullivan's Cove has an upmarket ambience (enhanced by the yachts and cruisers moored nearby), and comfy couches for lounging upon with aperitif in hand. Artworks by local artist Ian Bond line the walls, while the linen-clothed tables are surrounded pale wood chairs. Chef Justin Harris is intent on delivering innovative flavours that show Tassie produce in its best light, from Bruny Island oysters through to Dover ocean trout. There's even a fur seal lurking in the water nearby, waiting for fishy discards from diners.

Marque minus 4
We recently spent five days in Hobart and spent the last night,our anniversary, here. I was looking forward to it but I was disappointed. The entree was great, wine list extensive and the waitress knowledgable. The main was a different story. I ordered steak -medium and it arrived not even rare but 'blue'- just seared on the outside-the centre was still cold. My husband ordered twice cooked duck and this was very dry in parts. In my opinion, this restaurant is overrated

Very disappointing
Extremely disappointed! We had the signature tasting menu with premium matched wine at $195 per person. Most of the courses tasted like they had been made using supermarket packet stocks and sauces and were over salted. The fried beef dish was oily and tough and inedible. In some of the dishes the premium ingredient was changed from the menu without warning as the correct ingredient had run out. The staff were uninterested and no recompense was offered for the menu alterations and our expressions of disappointment. A waste of money and a rare night out without the kids.

Christmas function
The food was fantastic - one of the best meals I have had in Hobart. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was second to none.

Stayed in Hobart four nights, ate at the restaurant twice alone and then took a client there a third time - do I need to say anymore? Great place, great food.
