If this boutique roaster and cafe is anything to go by, Melburnians must be having a love affair with premium coffees from around the world. Located at Prahran Market on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Market Lane, Market Lane Coffee taps into the passionate coffee-drinking public's desire for freshly roasted, unique blends. A hanging blackboard contains a coffee flow chart that explains just where the beans are from, such as a bright orange spice apricot blend from Costa Rica, entitled "La Pira". Of course, the staff are on hand to help you pick the right stuff, and kids can even join in the fun with baby cinos and cookies. Everyone else can happily nosh on baguettes served with butter and Annie Smithers' jam, and the myriad pastries on hand to complement your coffee choice.
