Freo is known for its abundance of funky cafes, so it takes a trooper to stand out from the crowd. Maraschino Tea & Espresso Bar could be said to do just that, what with its colossal selection of international and organic teas, its hearty menu of produce-driven brekkie and lunch fare, and its overall quirky but unpretentious ambience (check out the cute tea truisms scrawled on the feature blackboard wall). On weekends and public holidays, the all-day breakfasts run as hot as hotcakes (or pancakes - whichever you prefer).
