This cute little bungalow has come up sparkling after a major renovation, now housing Mantra on King William. The space has been gutted and is now a simple vision of timber and white walls, furnished with mismatched antique tables, Italian leather chairs and a frequently changing array of contemporary art. Food-wise, the menu is a crowd-pleasing combination of Spanish tapas and Mediterranean-inspired contemporary mains. Wines are almost as much of a passion as food for the crew at Mantra, with the list offering Spanish and Portuguese wines, obscure local drops and even hobby wines by well-known winemakers.
