From the same family that introduced Melbourne to the incredible delights of Middle Eastern cuisine with Almazett back in 1978, Manakish is set to change the way we think about Lebanese food all over again. As a bakery/cafe, the focus is on breakfast and lunch, with the usual falafel platters and chicken and lamb shawarma (but done with a twist) for the latter, and spinach and fetta pastries (called fetayer) and an incredible egg and lamb mince tagine for the former. Also on offer are Levantine pizzas, pastries and sweets, and all the flatbreads are baked daily here in the oven, while the homemade lemonade is the perfect accompaniment to all of it.
