One of the family...

A friend who lives locally took us to Malena's because he loves it there and we found out why very easily. Charming service from Olivia who fussed over us as if we were family friends - which was probably helped by the fact that our friend eats there all the time. The cafe seemed filled with people who were regulars and Olivia fussed over everyone equally. Wonderfully home-style is the best way to describe the food. Sitting there eating was like sitting in your best friends house who had cooked each course especially for you. Hearty, wholesome, full of flavour. One of the restaurants I wished I lived closer to but will just have to make an effort to go to The Spot more often.
