The fact that they serve Italian food that goes beyond pizza and pasta is a good reason to give Maldini a visit. Very busy on Saturdays when the market is on, the rest of the time it is a peaceful and comfortable spot for a leisurely meal.

For Lovers of Fine food, Wine, Art & Culture"
Situated in an historical building in Salamanca Place, Maldini is an elegant and romantic mix of old and new. With beautiful chandeliers and walls adorned with modern original art work by, Tom Samek. Creating a very cosy relaxing dining room. Outside al fresco covered dining area, at pavement level, with comfortable seating. This restaurant lives up to its mission statement; "For Lovers of Fine Food, Wine, Art & Culture" From an excellent modern Italian menu we chose, A Maldini Taste plate - Chargrilled farm quail, crispy skinned pork belly, char grilled octopus. Beautifully prepared and presented, totally delicious, also a genuine Spaghetti alla marinara, mussels, clams, prawns, fish & calamari, in a garlic and white wine sauce. This dish was Delightful, with a texture & taste that just left you totally satisfied. We finished with two mouth watering desserts, and excellent coffee's. This restaurant is understandable busy, with attentive professional service. A great wine and bar selection. Maldini's has a vibe and ambience that you will enjoy, we did. Bookings would be advisable.

Outstanding as always
I don't know where 'Tingo Tango' ate back in 2009 when he/she reviewed Maldini, but it couldn't have been here. I've been coming here for years and I always recommend it to guests and visitors as THE best Italian in town, bar none. It's authentic, exciting, friendly and truly good. My only negative comment these days is that their prices are a bit too high, even for such fantastic quality food. And I know some who don't go there because of this.

Incredible breakfast
Stumbled across this place in Salamanca and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was perfect, not burnt, hot and tasty. I had ricotta and vanilla bean pikelets with banana on top. The flavours were amazing! How can anyone make pancakes taste that good? I was throughly impressed. The service was quick and the atmosphere was slightly business-like. The postition on Salamanca is very pretty. Very happy customer!
