South Indian restaurants are not nearly as common as their northern counterparts and the cuisine is quite distinct. As at Malabar, dosai (crisp lentil pancakes flavoured with fenugreek) feature heavily in the region as well as seafood and coconut-based curries. The decor isn't flash, but the food is aromatic with fresh curry leaves and won't break your budget.

Terrible place to be
