Main Street

This newish cafe, in a restored historical building in Mordialloc's main street (surprise, surprise) is a joint venture between a group of community-minded people who wanted to create a cafe with strong roots in their local area. The beautifully restored building has a welcoming vibe and a friendly atmosphere, and the food and service are even better. There's a strong focus on sourcing local produce, including fruit and veg from the Mordialloc Primary School vegie garden. This is a great spot to settle in with a tap beer from local microbrewery 2 Brothers, sit back and watch the world go by.

Great place but perhaps not with young babies!
I have been a few times and have found the food to be really tasty and delicious. The staff have generally been quite friendly too. I did go in with a couple of other mother's with our prams and were shuffled around several times. I understand there isn't much room for prams in there but we felt that the staff didn't handle us very well and by the end of it, we felt like such an inconvenience we were tempted to get up and go dine elsewhere. I would go back again but probably wouldn't take my baby with me as I felt like such a bother and burden last time!
