In traditional Indian culture, a haveli signified a large building with grandly decorated interiors fit for a Maharaja. It's also a place of fun, laughter, music, dance, food and wine, and that's what Quakers Hill's Maharaja's Haveli aims to provide. Its spacious restaurant area encompasses a village-style courtyard, a coffee lounge, a bar, and a takeaway counter just for sweet and snacks. Brightening up the space are traditional paintings and sculptures, a television screen showing Bollywood classics, and regular live entertainment. The scene is set for a feast of Indian flavours, from favourites such as the Bengali fish curry, prawn vindaloo and Kashmiri rogan josh lamb, to more experimental fare such as the kangaroo and crocodile curries. Open from morning through to night, Maharaja's Haveli is a family-friendly hotspot.
