This family-friendly Portuguese restaurant is a local haunt, and has gathered a following among fans of the cuisine. The menu is well-priced and expansive, with bacalhau (salted cod), vongole (clams), being the top entree picks. For main course, try the signature espetada: skewers of meat or seafood, served dangling from a wrought-iron stand - it is a visual spectacle as well as a culinary one.

EXCESSIVE CORKAGE
Food and service are great but recently they have imposed a corkage charge of $7.50 per bottle (for up to 5 people) for BYO which is a bit steep.

Huge Helpings
Never having been to Petersham, this was the first restaurant we stumbled upon - what a find. The meat was excellent, cooked to perfection and there was lots of it. The service was very friendly, excellent value for money. I will definitely go back there.
