Buy like the Italians do: by the slice. At MAD(e) in Italia you may want to try lots of different pizzas though, so bring a friend you can share with. At MAD(e) in Italia they import Roman water to use in their pizza crust. You decide if that's what makes this one of the best pizza crusts in Sydney. Toppings are mainly traditional (magherita, funghi, napolitana) but with some great variations as well (rocket and provolone, tuna and red onion). Prices are reasonable and the pizza is fantastic.

Great cheap pizza!
the place does a great pizza and cheaper than other real pizza places. i really enjoyed my experience there. the atmosphere is funky and not serious.

Dont get even .... get MAD pizza!
What a gem! I discovered MAD by chance two weeks ago by walking past - small and crowded but the best super-thin Italian-style pizza I have had in Sydney - bar none! And at $13 it was no wonder this place was packed. They have a DJ four nights a week and the great tunes make for a great atmosphere. Friendly service - the order-at-the-counter system is not table service but the staff say this is faster now that things have got busy. Recommend the pizza and atmosphere especially as it is so close to the Cross. Will re-visit!

Where is My Food?
I must admit that my partner's pizza margherita did taste quite good even if the "look and feel" was more that of a tasty bruschetta. However, the spinach salad with chicken that I ordered NEVER arrived. Not when my partner's pizza arrived at our table (about 20 minutes after we had ordered); not in resonse to our queries both 15 minutes and then 25 minutes after my partner's pizza arrived at our table (bringing the non-appearance of meal 2 to a total of 45 minutes after we arrived). Almost 1 hour after we had ordered - with such patience only because our waitress assured us that it would be "on its way" (and we did feel for our waitress who, it appeared, was equally frustrated with the non-appearance and who, it appeared, lacked the powers necessary to do anything more) - we insisted on a refund (it is a pre-pay system) which we received although we were required to pay for our two alcoholic beverages - which one would have thought would be offered for free considering our experience ... and indeed an offer for a free dinner on a subsequent occasion may have been appropriate?
