A tiny, quirkily decked-out restaurant with just a few booth tables indoors but plenty more space outside, Mad Raven will warm even the coldest Dandenong night with pizzas made with plenty of love. The pizzas are modern, adventurous and mostly free range and organic, as in the sweet pork, Moroccan prawn chermoula, and the delightfully vegetarian Mushy Love (tomato, porcini mushrooms, onion, fetta, spring onions and white truffle oil) pizzas.
The Chicken Raja, with spicy chicken, red onion, coriander and yoghurt dressing, and the Ring of Fire, with pesto, mozzarella, goat's cheese, fresh sliced chilli sambal and red onions both come highly recommended. BYO bottle of wine from the bottle shop across the road and settle in to what is fast becoming one of the most exciting and popular dining experiences in the area.
