Booking Disaster
I rang Lunar Lounge on Monday, 9 March to make a booking for the following Monday for my daughter's 21st dinner. I left a detailed message, including my mobile number, on the answering machine. No-one returned my call. I made 3 more similar calls during the week to no avail. I just want to say how disappointed I was in the lack of professionalism shown by the staff of the Lunar Lounge. This restaurant had been recommended to us as a place that would be special for our daughter's 21st dinner. Obviously common courtesy is not part of their motto!

Our worst restaurant experience
We dine out often, and were very disappointed with this restaurant. They were seriously understaffed, and there was a general amateurish air. We waited 5 minutes just to speak to someone to be seated, and our drinks took 20 minutes. There appeared to be only a single waitress serving two separate private functions plus the general dinning customers.
After 45 minute wait, we were told our mains order had been lost and we need to place our order again. We suspect this was lost by the chef as he spent most of the night wondering aimlessly around the restaurant rather than cooking people's meals. At that point we left, and won t be returning. We don't blame the lone waitress for this, but the substandard management of the restaurant that allowed such a case of under staffing on a busy Saturday night.
After leaving the Lunar Lounge hungry and an hour after arriving, we went to Chinatown as it was late and we had no other reservation. We had quick service throughout the Chinatown restaurant we went to: we were seated immediately, had drinks in a couple of minutes and main meals within 15 minutes. Overall there was no comparison between the cheap and cheerful meal at the Chinese restaurant opposed to the fine dining Lunar Lounge.
I would not recommend Lunar Lounge to anyone. We are just thankful we weren't celebrating a special occasion because this experience was enough to ruin a night.

Great location with so much potential but bland food
The dinner that I had here was greatly anticipated as I had driven past the restaurant many times and it looked like a lovely place to eat, however I was incredibly disappointed with the food and service. The food was incredibly bland, and the menu wasn't very exciting. Perhaps the menu is too broad, but they didn't seem to be specialising in anything in particular. The service was terrible, with a very long wait for meals and no compensation or explanation from the waiters. There are so many other great places to eat in the area - I would recommend that you give this place a miss. Sitar down the road is excellent, as is Cru bar.

I had my birthday dinner at Lunar Lounge and was so delighted with absolutely everything. Everyone that went said that they would be returning. Could not fault the food, service or atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone i know!
