Get a dose of the American Deep South here in the even deeper South (that's South Australia, folks). Located in the Elizabeth Shopping Centre Entertainment Precinct, Louisiana Tavern follows through with its good ol' New Orleans-style jazz tavern theme, as evidenced in the royally mounted saxophone at the main bar and, of course, the regular performers that pop in late in the week for some hot jazz.
Meanwhile, the bistro menu also stays loyal to its roots, offering up Southern-style meals such as Jumbo Gumbo (a New Orleans-style chicken, sausage and vegetable casserole), Mom's Famous Southern Meatloaf (speaks for itself) and the Mississippi Southern Fried Chicken (that's fried chicken done the authentic way, compadres). The ribs, schnitzels, buffalo wings, enchiladas, burgers and fish offerings are just as enticing.
