Newtown locals who frequent the casually cool Lou Jack's, on sprawling King street, declare that the pancakes (complete with maple syrup, of course) offered at breakfast are among the best served in all of the Inner West. To be sure, there's more on the menu here than pancakes, including other breakfast delights such as scrambled eggs with pesto and grilled haloumi, and lunch time fare including generously sized gourmet salads.
