Working side by side with someone can foster some interesting relationships, especially in the pressured, frantic environment of the restaurant industry. Strong friendships can be forged or, in the case of Dominique Bolger and John Singer, marriage. As former employees of the renowned Harvey's, the couple has now opened up a restaurant of their own, Lord Cardigan. Singer serves up dishes that are distinctly Australian with touches of Asian and European influences. Be sure to try their duck breast, roasted with fennel and coriander seed, served with Isralei cous cous and a verjuice jus or such dishes as their Kangaroo Island milk-fed lamb roasted with a herb farce and rosemary salt. The '70s-style wallpaper and walnut furniture maintain the homely atmosphere, with an intimate outdoor seating area to boot, securing Lord Cardigan's growing popular status with its local clientele.

Undersated Fine Dining in Albert Park
We couldn't fault this restaurant! The food was exquisite - modern twists on classic Asian and Euopean dishes. Top-quality ingredients are presented in imaginative but not overly fussy dishes. Complimentary fresh bread was still warm and absolutely delicious.I thought the portion sizes were perfect. The service was excellent: professional, friendly and gracious. The atmosphere is refined and elegant without being at all stuffy. This would make an excellent venue for special occasion or romantic dining.

Great brekkie for a Sunday morning
Had a great brekkie here not too long ago and was definitely worth a revisit. Coffee and service was excellent too. Only thing would have changed was larger portion sizes just because it was that good! Definitely worth checking out and just sitting outside watching the world go by or reading the newspapers.
