Stepping into the space left by that legend of yesteryear Glitch Bar, it would be an understatement to say this place has some big shoes to fill. Luckily, the two men at the helm are more than up to the task.
The brainchild of Tim Richmond and Adam Sine, Long Play exudes an understated charm that is all its own. Everything about this place - including the Italian tiles, polished timber bar and venetian blinds that haven't been used this well since the 1967 Valiant - makes you feel instantly possessive of it. The soundtrack to this new little corner of cool, fittingly, is provided by a choice selection of LPs that sit behind the bar on the bartender's-whim rotation.
The list of Mediterranean fare on offer, although modest, matches perfectly to the eclectic list of boutique, mostly Spanish and Italian varietals.
