Lolli Redini
Simonn Hawke's produce-driven menu has contributed much to the Orange area's burgeoning reputation as a foodie haven. Consistently awarded a coveted Chef's Hat by the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide since opening in 1999, Lolli Redini is also one of only a few upper-echelon kitchens in the state to be headed up by a woman. In a historic bluestone building, which once housed a local optometrist, you'll now find a bright space with a magenta feature wall, eclectic art on the walls and a racy red banquette running along the side of the central dining room. A two-course minimum applies, but you shouldn't have a problem finding room for the innovative mod-Oz dishes on the ever-changing menu, punctuated by local produce from one of the best food and wine regions in Australia. If you're feeling really decadent opt for the degustation menu, which features a series of highlights from the kitchen's a la carte menu, matched with a selection of top Orange wines.
