The story of this microbrewery/restaurant begins with the persecution of Lutherans in 18th century Prussia and ends with several satisfied sighs and some lip-smacking. Okay, so there's considerably more to the history of the Lobethal Bierhaus, but that's all covered in the brewery's historial tour.
The idea of opening a microbrewery in the heart of South Australia's oldest wine country is a novel one to say the least, but with around 30 pubs now stocking their multi-award-winning ales, it's hard to discredit the success.
The attached restaurant serves up innovative cuisine, which is specifically designed to match with the different draughts on offer.
