Paying homage to southern Italian cuisine, the Little Sicily pizzeria and restaurant is right at home among the vibrant Mediterranean culture of Sydney's Little Italy, Leichhardt. From the get-go you see the patriotic glow of the green-and-red signage cast on the buzzing dining room and the hedge-lined front courtyard with its candlelit communal table for larger groups.
Little Sicily's menu contains rustic pastas and pizzas as well as beloved Italian favourites such as osso buco and scampi alla griglia (grilled New Zealand scampi). The Volcanic Grill, a stone grill brought to your table with your choice of meat, lets you cook the meat to your liking; it's a novelty but a good one if you like a bit of extra sizzle.
