With more and more restaurants opening up on the busy Bridport Street scene, Lina's Bistro has fought hard to hold its top rank, continuing to please diners with fine mod-French cuisine. Casual outdoor seating can be found in the leafy courtyard, while warm yellow walls, trippy acoustic jazz and raw wooden tables give the eatery a laidback ambience.
Try the steak and pomme de terre frites; baked parmesan-crusted olives with vodka aioli; or duck orange pate with cornichons for starters. Mains range from mussels in white wine sauce; to tuna nicoise with beans, mint, roasted tomatoes and vodka aioli; and grilled chicken with ratatouille. Blueberry and pistachio semifreddo with homemade nougat is the pick of the desserts. After dinner, Lina's adopts a wine bar/bistro vibe with a wine selection featuring more than 120 varieties displayed along one entire wall of the front dining area.
