Couched in a converted warehouse in the heart of Lilydale, this long-standing imperial Chinese dining room stays true to its roots by serving homemade dumplings, Peking duck, live seafood and other idiosyncratic Chinese delicacies. You'd be hard pressed not to find something to your liking among the beef, chicken, lamb, pork, duck, seafood, curry, rice, noodle, soup and vegetarian options on hand. Broadening the scope a bit, Lilydale Palace's menu encompasses Indonesian- and Malaysian-inflected fare such as nasi goreng and Malaysian satay chicken. For a taste of it all, the lunch and dinner banquets hit the spot.
