Lilliblack is the baby of husband/wife team Shane Webb and Andrea D'Cruz, who started with the idea to offer the perfect cup of tea and ended up opening a beautiful, friendly cafe on a shady corner in Darlo. A professional designer, Andrea created the interiors, which contrast dark wood and lime green to superb effect. Subtle inclusions such as the Bertoia wire chairs, Florence Broadhurst prints and a mirrored wall with cushioned bench all work to give the relaxed space a touch of style.
Warm extras attest to the owner's desire to roll out the welcome mat for all their customers. Pups are accepted (and provided with a drinking bowl on the doorstep), wireless internet is available and rugs are supplied for outdoor diners on chilly days. The kitchen serves up healthy comfort food with modern touches to keep it interesting. Lunch includes a range of well-priced fresh sandwiches, salads, pastas and risotti. The breakfast list has everything you could want and customers are encouraged to make up their own brekkie combos and smoothies.

What a lunch!
This is my second to come go there...and it blew me away! I highly recommend their special Lamb Shank...it's the best i ever had. Apart from the generous amount being put on the plate, who would ever think that sweet red cabbage goes sooooo well with the dish! The chai smoothies is also my fav. Love it.

Great place for a casual lunch
I used my yourRestaurants Special Offer from my 3 mobile phone here with no hassles and was very impressed with the food and service. The pasta dishes, risotto and toasted Turkish sandwiches are of decent sizes. Excellent value, I will be definitely return!
