Time has not weathered the palpable appeal of Leo's Spaghetti Bar, which boasts the rare claim to fame of having opened up during the Olympics - the Melbourne Olympics in 1956, that is. Yes, Leo's is an out-and-out Italian institution in St Kilda. Still just as popular is Leo's buzzing front alfresco area, which puts you right in the thick of the hustle and bustle of Fitzroy Street. And let's not forget the real reason why people come back to Leo's: the pastas. From spaghetti napolitana to homemade ravioli to spinach cannelloni, Leo's offers much more than just its namesake spaghetti. The veal, steak, chicken, seafood, salad, pizza and gelato offerings are all infused with that trademark Italian passion.
