Sister restaurant to the multi-award-winning Lemon Grass Thai in Civic's Melbourne Building, this one has a similar menu and winning formula. Unlike many Thai joints, Lemon Grass occupies a large space, accommodating up to 200 comfortably. The modern layout is uncluttered and spacious, embellished with a few Eastern ornaments that liven up the dining room and provide a bit of bling. The entrees include all the favourites - curry puffs, satay, spring rolls - while the wide selection of mains are supplemented by plenty of vegetarian options.

You can get a great meal here
Thai food is popular and I can see why.
I've been to lemon grass on many occasions and it does not disappoint.
Try the Beef Massaman curry, with coconut rice. You won't be disappointed.
The other items I've had from the menu were also excellent.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, it is conveniently located with lots of parking nearby and the service is good.

Decent meal - decent price
We ordered the red duck curry (which was absolutely beautiful) as well as chicken Pad Thai (which was good, but not great). The food came out promptly, and the service was decent. The decor was absolutely lovely, it was very classy. Meal price was also quite reasonable.
Will be coming back again!

Fantastic Spot
Biggest thing that springs to mind is how cosy it is. It's well spaced, you don't feel crowded in by neighbouring tables. The food was simply brilliant. It was a real surprise! The service was very good. All in all a great little spot.

A good overall experience
We've been here a few times since it opened and it has been really good on all three occasions. The food is fresh tasting (not too oily), the service good and the restaurant itself is well laid out, quite large and reasonably quiet (i.e. carpet on the floor, space between the tables). Make a booking on a Friday or Saturday night.

Not too shabby
Great food, nice big restaurant (unlike some other popular Thai establishments in Canberra that you can never get a table at!) and great atmosphere. I've only been once so far, but will venture out again when I next feel the urge for a low-key but pleasant dining experience in the suburbs.

Transplanted a good restaurant
Has always been a favourite of mine in the city and now there is one closer to home. Food is the same as the city restaurant. Parking can be a bit of a pain most of the time because the carpark is small, however there's Woden Westfield across the road.

Great Thai food
Only new but getting better with each visit - winning formula refined at Civic Lemon Grass and improved on at Woden.
