Worst overpriced meal I have had in a long time.
Four of us went to Legends for dinner, my best friend, myself and our girlfriends. They arrived before us and said that the service was not very courteous, though I did not witness it personally until after we ordered an overpriced bottle of wine, when they removed the two wine glasses from our table we weren't using at that time without even asking, just walked up interrupted our drinks without even excusing themselves and took the glasses, I would expect this of a young untrained waiter/waitress, but this lady was clearly mid 40's plus, and I would think, had a decent amount of experience in the restaurant business. With the service being bad, I was hoping the food would be better... My friends girlfriend ordered the balmaine bug, which looked decent, but was barely enough for a meal, and at $14 for one in my opinion, it was a little pricey. None of us ordered any other small plates we went for the ribs (Wednesday being ribs night), $80 for four orders of ribs wasn't a bad price, and when I saw the portions I thought it more than made up for the $14 mouthful. However, quantity aside, the Ribs were not up to par, they were dry and tough for the most part, the sauce failed to impress, but the worst thing was that it was so damn oily I couldn't believe it. I am half Portuguese and have eaten Spanish and Portuguese food all my life, and I have never seen anything so oily. The salad seemed to be covered in oil, then they added dressing, it literally became soggy with oil, the chips despite being thick cut were also saturated in oil, and the outer parts of the ribs were also a grease fest. My girlfriend and I managed to only eat half our meals before feeling sick from all the oil. My friend and his girlfriend fared a little better, but we all agreed we are never going back.

A lesson learned..
The chill in the air and the spiders crossing our path on the way up the stairs should have forewarned us our night out at Legends was going to be a flop. 50th birthday gathering for a party of 12 with over half the party interstate guests and we wanted to put our best foot forward. Sadly, despite the lovely decor, cheery atmosphere and a delicious jug of sangria on the table, you could be liable to find your way underneath it before getting your food.
Watching the meals coming out to the tables all around us was as tantalizing as it was disheartening. People who arrived well after us appeared to be getting their food before us. When the main meals did come out they were lovely. The variety of having the six small dishes to choose from is a lovely way to sample many different flavourful dishes without over eating. However, and hour and forty minutes is much too long to wait for a dish for two people when the others had been served in 40 minutes, especially when you can see tables around you that arrived after you getting their meals before you.
Shortly after the final meal arrived the waitress was asking the rest of the table if we were ready to order ice cream, which as well as being rude turned out to be a disappointment in itself. Our two interstate guests that had received their food last left as soon as they were through with their meal, glad to have seen the birthday boy but really quite disappointed with the choice of restaurant, leaving the hostess of our little gathering quite red faced. After having the ice creams explained to us by the waitress we each selected the ice cream we wanted and eagerly awaited what promised to be good ice cream, only to be disappointed when we were told we would not be getting the ice creams we had each asked for but dishes to share with ice cream selected by the chef. This may not have been such a disappointment if we had not been told we had a choice beforehand! Sad that they had to offer us free coffee for the night's failures after our guests had left.
The positives: -The Sangria is delicious and will only set you back $25 for a 1200mL jug -The music and atmosphere is lively -The meals were all delicious and having variety while not over eating is fantastic
The lessons to be learned: - You'll be served faster if your party is smaller - Order the garlic bread - or any kind of bread to nibble on - when you sit down - Order the tapas, which are the small plates of different meals you can sample, because even if they come out gradually they will get to you faster than a large meal will.
