Lefka's Taverna

Lefkas' popularity is clearly announced before one even enters, as the hubbub of happy diners can be heard (and the queues of those waiting for takeaways can be readily seen) from the street. Inside, Lefkas is an unpretentious slice of Greece, offering authentic Hellenic cuisine. Serves of souvlaki, lamb, calamari and other Greek favourites are presented in generous portions at cheap prices.

We'll be back
We had a wonderful dinner & the staff were great. I had the beef stafardo & my boyfriend had lamb shanks. Both were yummy.

Arguably the most famous Greek takeaway
It has been said that people drive from all over Brisbane just to eat here. Mouth-watering food, friendly service, great value. The massive yiros can easily feed two, and satisfy the biggest appetite. Can be a bit cramped and noisy though...but this is West End we are talking about. Always book in advance for weekend nights.

Let's go Greek
The chargrilled octopus is delicious and the calamari is terrific! The lamb gyros is the best! I'll be back!
