Mother-and-daughter team Karen and Belinda White run this cosy cafe in the lighthouse keeper's cottage, built from the towering lighthouse's granite foundations. It makes for a solid dwelling to retreat to from the windy outdoors, with jarrah floorboards and shingle trimmings keeping the heritage spirit alive. The Whites even cook in the original kitchen dating from 1895, with meals that include gourmet panini, lasagne, vegetarian chilli lentil burgers and Devonshire tea. For a romantic interlude, take your significant other up here for a spectacular view as the sun sets into the Southern Ocean.
