Midway up Bondi's Hall Street sits Le Paris-Go cafe. Even in the depths of winter this little scene-queen's-dream is almost always bursting at the seams. It's one of those venues that doesn't look style, it is style - from the locals who frequent it to the staff that glide around the tiny space, delivering cups of quality coffee and plates of all-day breakfast. There are plenty of vegetarian options available here - ten at last count - and a tasty breakfast burrito with sour cream and scrambled eggs.
It's not a big space, the old Paris, so you can pretty much guarantee you'll have to wait for a table. Be warned, no one actually waits for a seat here. Instead, they nonchalantly stroll up and down the street like a blase tiger, waiting for the opportunity to pounce at a recently vacated table.
This is not a place that is lacking for ambiance; the kitsch Paris-inspired murals splashed across the walls work with the mixed bag of patrons to ensure that. Luckily for all involved, it is not one that sits on its laurels when it comes to its fare either; the food is well presented and always enjoyable. Even if you do have to wait a little too patiently for it during busier times, you'll not get bored for lack of something interesting to look at.

Don't judge a book by its cover...
Today I took my overseas visiting friends for a walk around Bondi, it was cold and we decided to get something hot to drink before continuing our journey. We stopped at Le Paris Go for coffee/hot chocolate. Firstly, we were received by rude staff that weren't too happy to have to serve 4 cups of something hot at 5pm. Secondly, the hot chocolate we had was so cold that the insipid marshmallows we were given didn't melt. In addition to being cold it was more like dirty milk, you could hardly taste or see any chocolate. The coffees were also cold and had the dirty milk look, with very little coffee or love in them. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Inspired by Paris Hilton, not Paris France
Not sure how this cafe gets a recommendation - it is full of look-at-me posers and wannabes. Maybe I went on a bad day but the service staff also seem to have this attitude that they're doing a you a favour by letting you sit in their pretentious cafe. If you're the kind of person who dreams of being 'papped', this is the place for you.
