Larousse serves up a big bowlful of nostalgia with every meal, shunning new-fangled cuisine ideas in favour of tried and true French favourites. With its exposed brick and waistcoated waiters, the space speaks of a bygone era of dining, when eating out was the height of sophistication and indulgence. The menu similarly speaks of times gone by, including such French classics as garlicky escargot or duck a l'orange, supplemented by daily specials along the same whimsical vein.

A wonderful night out
Our first visit to this restaurant - will certainly go again. The food was delicious, service second to none and the atmosphere made us feel as if we were in a cosy restaurant in France. The best veal Oscar I have ever had; the sauce was divine. We really could not fault anything. We were celebrating a birthday and were certainly made to feel special.
