In many ways Lamby's embodies what Geelong is all about. Housed in the historic wool store building, also home to the National Wool Museum, it pays homage to Geelong's past while also managing to embrace its future.
The name and rustic-chic decor are clearly a tip of the cap to the past of a city once known as the wool centre of the world, but the menu here is anything but dated. Culinary influences at Lamby's range right from mod-Oz to the Mediterranean and the Iberian coast. Of course, if you want the total Lamby's experience you can't go past the slow-cooked lamb rump with garlic-peppered spinach and white bean cassoulet topped with a red wine jus.
