Set in Victorian spa country, the Lake House is a beautiful boutique hotel and restaurant in idyllic surrounds. Chef Alla Wolf-Tasker has been running the kitchen for 20 years, showcasing game and charcuterie (with a French bent). The wine list is extensive and the service is impeccable.

Great food and wine
The 7 course tasting menu is the way to go, all rich in flavours, and to be honest I don't think i could handle eating a main meal of one of the meat dishes. The wine list is supurb and the services very formal... the atmosphere was too pretentious, but beautiful views
