Lake Cave is one of the major natural tourist attractions in the Margaret River region, and one of the few suitable for under 18s in this wine-soaked area. Though visitors are drawn here by the subterranean lake, which reflects an intricate network of delicate stalactites, they linger over the food served at the Lake Cave Tearooms. A variety of simple, cafe-style meals are served here but the highlights are the burgers. While tackling a huge vegie burger, diners can admire the idyllic national park scenery or scan the shelves of chocolates, soaps and other local products.
