La Spiagga prides itself on being the best local Italian in all of Coogee. After renovations, the dining room has taken a moodier, more modern turn, while the food is sure to elicit amiable responses from customers at the conclusion of their meal.
There's a plethora of dishes to choose from on the menu, including pizza and pasta, but for the meat eaters the veal Milanese is sure to please: it's a veal chop, pounded to within an inch of its life and then breaded, fried and served with a wedge of lemon. It's essentially the Italian version of an Austrian Wiener schnitzel.

amazing wait
I couldn't believe how long I waited here. The staff came across as friendly but they just didn't give any service. I was only offered drinks when I approached them and it took 45 mins for them to tell me that they had no squid left. In total, it took over 90 mins to get two entrees. I must say that it did taste decent, and they were full - but it seemed more disorganised than busy. I'll maybe go back if they aren't too full.
