Despite the overt similarity in name to Simpson's former haunt, the now-closed La Sala in Surry Hills, the celebrity chef has brought together all of his best dishes describing the menu as "my top 20 hitters".
The menu being proferred "up the staircase" is a fun look at what is being done now in contemporary Italian cuisine, blended seamlessly with a serious nod to the classics of the culinary heavyweight. Expect to see a timeless Ciprian carpaccio sitting comfortably next to a dish of prosciutto and rockmelon; not to mention a cheeky entree described simply as "my mate Pino's Italian cured meats".
