Response to Unpleasant Evening from Owner
My wife and I started La Piazza 12 years ago with a passion to providing the local community with a local restaurant offering affordable great value Italian meals and friendly service
We have always strived to offer friendly service and great value Italian meals with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. I, as owner and head chef am committed to ensuring our valued customers enjoy their meal and their experience with us.
Having said this we have recently experienced some turmoil with staffing which we have addressed and are rectifying. We have been training a new team dedicated to customer service and most importantly, customer satisfaction and I am happy to say we are receiving great feedback on our efforts.
My emphasis as an owner of a local restaurant is on customer service/satisfaction and developing lasting relationships with our local valued customers. I make it a point to personally talk to customers and address any issues that may arise and I am grateful for all the feedback I have received over the years.
As with any business, you occasionally encounter problems and on those occasions I invite customers to contact me personally with their feedback. I welcome the opportunity to address their concerns and rectify any problems that arise, so that we may serve them better.

Unpleasent evening
was really in the mood for Pasta last night when I came across La Piazza in Wanniassa. I didn't know there was an Italian resturant in the area so I was really excited. My partner and I walked in the door at 7.15pm, it looked like a friendly family resturant. After being met and seated by a waitress who said she wouldn't be too long, we waited. We waited and waited and waited. 20 minutes later we got given our menus. The waitress made quick appearence after that to take our meal orders. We asked her to leave the drink menu as we didn't get a chance to look at it. 8.10pm (25 minutes after we had placed our meal order) another waitress came up and took our drinks order. 5 - 10 minutes after that our entree of bread came out. I did enjoy it but maybe it's because I was starving! After finishing we waited some more. As time went on we couldn't believe we didn't walk out before we got our menus! The time was now 8.50pm. We see a sign of hope when two bowls were places up on the counter and the bell rings. The waitress stands there looking at the bowls and talk to the chefs. She comes over and says to my partner "I'm so sorry, but the Chef made the wrong sauce for your meal. You are going to have to wait another 5 minutes while he takes the sauce off and puts a new one on." To me she says "Yours is being kept warm." 9 o'clock we get our main dishes. My Gnocci was over cooked and wasn't pleasent. I decided to take mine to go. The table next to us kept saying "You shouldn't have to pay for that" and "This is just not on." They had been experiencing problems also. When we went up to pay. We had to pay full price. I will NEVER set foot in that place again!

Great Tuggeranong cafe...give it a try
This is one of my favourite local restaurants. Tuggeranong restaurants do not get many reviews anywhere on the net from my observations but being a local I believe in supporting where I live. This small cafe offers a good range of food at very reasonable prices whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had issues with the service for some months (very young non-caring staff) but persevered as I like the atmosphere and food. Last visit they had new staff who were more than efficient and very friendly. Well done La Piazza as I know getting good staff these days isn't easy.
