Delicious!
Wow, what a great time my husband and I had. We had dinner at La Dolce Vita for our wedding anniversary and it was a fanatastic night.
Between us we had the brushetta, pumpkin soup, mushroom ravioli and cabonara and it was all delicious! I have not tasted pasta that good since Italy!
The service was great and the staff were always replacing our serviettes, mnaking sure we didn't want anymore drinks and cleaned up our empty plates promptly.
The meals were well priced as well which was great!
Definately recommend to everyone!

An Italian 80 year olds birthday
Just over 50 people in the restaurant, we were a party of 20. The service was excellent, wait staff made sure we were all happy before service began. I am not an ardent lover of Italian food but there was very little at fault, sure the calamari was a tad overcooked as were the the baby octopus. The rest of the tucker was perfect. The ambiance for such an occasion was just right

Quick Value for money Breakfast!
After partying the night before we decided to go for a late breakfast on New Years Day. My friend mentioned La Dolce Vita Restaurant in Milton which I had heard of before and it hit the spot. My eggs benedict were done just right and the service was smooth and efficient which was surprising considering how busy they were. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick value for money breakfast.

Great service, food not so good!
After work Dad wanted to take my Aunt (whom was here on holiday from the USA) to La Dolce Vita. She loved the place, questioning why the Eiffel Tower was there when it's an Italian resturant. It was really bad weather; rain was pouring like mad. We crossed the road and didn't even step onto the footpath when a male waiter greeted us. I am however very disappointed with the food...it wasn't to my liking, or to anyone else's in my table. But the Italian guy provided excellent service and even heard us talking in our language (Tagalog) and was gutsy enough to say something back in Tagalog. It made my family very happy.

What happened here??!!
My partners mother was up from Melbourne and was helping with the Red Cross after the storms so we decided to meet her and have some dinner. La Dolce Vita had always had a good reputation when I had lived in Brisbane so we thought we would go there.
To cut a long story short, service was terrible (very inexperienced waitstaff), food was terrible, bread stale and cold, I ordered Calamari Fritti and it was processed awful and I wasn't game to eat it as it was luke warm. Plates were left on the table for over half and hour after we finished and the wine glasses ($8.50) were about the size of a sticky glass if not smaller!
This all happened on a Wednesday night! I shudder to think of how they would go had they been fully booked.
Absolutely terrible..

Why can't all places be like this! Very happy
We walked in with a group of 8 people and hadn't booked. They asked us to give them five minutes and they arranged a table with expertise. Seating was comfortable and then we ordered. The drinks and coffee came out quite quickly even thought they were full and our breakfasts all come out shortly after with no problems. The meals were tasty and the service friendly. I have been back since with my wife and kids on a regular basis. They know me by name now... Dinner is next.

Breakfast shocker
Things did not go right from the beginning! I ordered 2 iced chocolate for my kids and received 2 iced coffee. Main course was 3 big breakfasts, however there were 2 with poached egg and 1 with fried egg and these were plated incorrectly. My daughter ordered French toast, however it was very bland without much taste other than white bread! Numerous requests for additional tomato sauce resulted in 5 containers of tomato sauce which I was subsequently charged for. A not so nice but very expensive ($95) breakfast experience for 2 adults & 2 kids.

Good business, bad for diners
Had vongole and fettucine.
The level of Brisbane Italian restaurants are so poor. When they served my fettucine soft, I wasn't too let down. This is what I came to expect recently. Very few can serve al dente.
I tasted my partner's spaghetti vongole. If made properly, vongole is a dish you can't muck up. I was impressed by how not tasty it was. They did an alright job on the spaghetti, it wasn't al dente but tasted like it had been properly cooked but left in the fridge for a couple hours. But more sadly, where has the beautiful juice of the vongole gone? Also had lots of sand and broken shells cracking between my teeth which is not pleasant. I suspect they were using frozen pipis. This loses the juice and breaks up the shells when put into hot pans from freezing temperature.
The atmosphere is good and the price is not overly expensive. People get lured but I won't be returning. I just feel sad for all the Milton residing regulars who eat here that you don't understand what good Italian is... But I guess if they are happy, the restaurant is doing a good job.

Sidewalk Dining
Nice little diner, sidewalk dining on busy street is a different atmosphere. Service a little lacking.
