Sad to say
I went to this place years ago and I thoroughly everything about it.. When trying to come up with a traditional Italian place for a birthday celebration we booked in here.
Upon arrival we were met by a very uninterested waitress. The music was way to loud for the size of the restaurant and the decor, well... It needs a major face lift.
We ordered our drinks which came out immediately and ordered our food. The menu was not very extensive and the prices were very steep. The meals were served all together but the presentation was not great. I am not a fan of ordering something I can't make at home but one the sausage with olive pasta sounded great. When it was in front of me there was to much sausage and about 6 small pieces of an olive. I hardly touched my meal and no one on the table was overly happy with the meal that was served.
The desert was enjoyed as it's hard to get ice cream wrong.. When the bill arrived we were horrified at the cost, needless to say we will not be returning.

La Casetta
The first thing that you notice stepping into this restaurant is the early 1980s decor. So the 2018 pricing is something of a shock to the system. From the start of our evening it felt like we were intruders. The welcome was not at all welcoming. The menu was bland and the service just downright strange. There were too many floor staff for a restaurant this size and I understand why. When you request something, they take it through a whole chain of command. When we asked the waitress whether we could order, she sent over a "more senior" waitress, who advised us that the manager would be over to take our order (and we then waited about 10 minutes). This was the same with other requests throughout the evening (and they were not very busy. I can cope with (and quite enjoy) daggy decor (and strange service) if the food is good. Not the case here. $46.50 for a small piece of overcooked dhufish and garlic bread without garlic does not cut the mustard.
