Unmissable on the corner of Grattan and Drummond Streets (and just a stone's throw away from Lygon Street), the big, two-storey, mustard-yellow building with retro, pink shutters houses a local Italian institution, La Cacciatora Restaurant. It's been here for decades (formerly called Da Salvatore), and what hasn't changed is its rustic Italian feel and traditional pizza, pasta, veal and chicken specialties. The metre-long pizzas are a major novelty - and a useful one if you're flanked by friends and family looking to feast on the likes of four cheeses pizza, calamari pizza, prosciutto pizza, or perhaps the Salvatore Special hot salami pizza, to name a few.
