The restaurant is located in a timber and corrugated iron shed but people still queue to get in - proof that you don't need fancy decor to enjoy good food. La Baracca means 'the shed' and that is exactly what you will find here. Rustic decor complements the hearty Italian-style cooking. Serving a slice of Italy with every dish, chef David McLellan masters favourites like osso bucco and makes all pasta and ice cream inhouse. Keep an eye for the pasta specials that are guaranteed to surprise and fulfill.

Perfection!
My mum and I were driving the area, doing some wine tasting and T'Gallant had been recommended by a friend, so we stopped for lunch. Although they were fully booked, it was 2pm and they managed to get us a table. I'm VERY glad they did.
The food was superb (we had the Kingfish and the Lamb), and they were both perfect. The flavours, the presentation and the size of the meals were just right. We had a glass of the Cyramis Pinot Noir to accompany, which we had previously tasted and the glasses were generous.
Not the cheapest meal, but definitely the best meal I've tasted in a long time. The service couldn't be faulted either - quick, friendly and efficient.
The 'shed' is rustic and has a lot of character, and the outlook over the vines is ver relaxing. We felt as though we were somewhere in the heart of florence :-)
I'll definitely be back again and will recommend to my friends...
