Kuni's has been serving great Japanese food for over twenty years. Both the main dining and sushi bar areas feature restrained decor which takes nothing away from the friendly ambience. The tempura at Kuni's is almost perfect (and that's the best anything can get). This stayer in the restaurant scene is a reliable choice for good Japanese food, from the gyu tan (salty grilled ox tongue) to the tai kobujimi usukuri (raw snapper marinated with seaweed). The service is always friendly and efficient and staff are more than happy to make recommendations if you're stuck.

One of my favourites

Kuni's is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Melbourne.
The food is excellent and I highly recommend the black sesame ice cream for dessert! The atmosphere is always pleasant but that also depends on your fellow dining companions and the staff are always welcoming and super friendly.

Kuni's is Lovely Japanese

Not much to say but it is excellent and comfortable. It is definitely one of my top three Japanese restaurants in Melbourne.

Great place for dinner

Bit pricey, but has a good variety of different Japanese food and not just your usual teriyaki chicken. For example, the Thai/Japanese mixed salad with snapper sashimi is FAB! Great service too.
