The wide, corrugated iron verandah frames the double entrance, flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows, while the bright red tone of the interior is decorated by hanging lanterns, gold accents and traditional decorations. The smorgasbord of ingredients has wide appeal. Line up and choose meat, vegetables, spices and sauce, then hand it to the smiling owner, Ho, to cook in a flash. The table-sized round conqueror's grill at the rear of the restaurant is where diners watch in awe as their feast is cooked with two oversized pieces of dowel. Though there's no Mongolian beer, Tiger, Singha and Kirin are there for a touch of the Orient. There's also the special banquet, which includes the smorgasbord feast, with a starter and a choice of a traditional hotpot of silky chocolate or minty apple cream.
