All exposed red brick, chipped and faded exterior and retro, mismatched furniture, this place is suitably grungy-looking and Brunswick-esque for its little spot just a few minutes from Sydney Road. The menu proffers Euro-inspired cafe fare, with breakfast and lunch eats that'll fill you up good and proper for under $15. Locals swear by healthy breakfasts like the granola topped with poached fruit or yogurt and the pear and rosewater Bircher muesli.
If, however, like some of the hipsters in this place, you're after a hangover cure, you're in luck, too; the corn and zucchini fritter with bloody mary dressing, crispy bacon and poached eggs or the American-style French toast with crispy smoky bacon and Canadian maple syrup will fix you right up. Lunch options are just as tempting, so you may as well order a coffee and stick around in between.
