When you want the best seafood, head to the coast, right? Wrong. This little fish and chip shop in one of Melbourne's outer suburbs is the exception to the rule.
Recently taking out the title of 'Australia's Best Fish 'n' Chip Shop' in 2010, run by the Crisco oil company, the landlocked Kingfisher Blue beat off countless shore-side venues for its super fresh produce and classic recipes. Co-owners Gerry Lionatos and Chris Tsaousidis have spent years perfecting their fish batter and with its light, golden crunch they've certainly nailed it.
