If you're tired of the standard Australian-Chinese fare of most suburban Chinese restaurants, then head to Kensington Peking where the staff are more than happy to recommend more adventurous dishes. Be warned: this restaurant is so popular that your table will have to be given away if you're late for your booking.

Awful service
Am a regular at this place and love the food but I seriously wonder how much longer this place can trade only on its food. The service is beyond terrible. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a scowl, if they are greeted at all. Clearly a family-run business with the son running a tight ship with his menacing personality, grandad dithering around the floor doing his very best to avoid interaction with customers and the rest of the extended family doing their best to stay out of the way. Long waits for service or food are compounded by regularly missed orders or wrong dishes being delivered to your table. At first I thought good service must have been mysteriously reserved for the regulars but it is now obvious everyone is subjected to the same terrible service. It's not an overstatement to say that customers are treated with contempt. I wonder how much longer people will continue to go here before they decide they are sick of the rude, angry service. Please guys, lift your game and make your service as pleasurable as your food.
